These pictures are from our school outing, November 18, 2006. We borrowed a school bus from the International School of Kenya (thanks!) and took 72 Mercy Center kids to the Mamba Village. (Mamba, by the way is Swahili for Crocodile). There they saw crocs and fish (almost as new and different for some of them); they got to feed ostriches, ride a couple of pseudo-amusement park rides, have a great picnic lunch, and relax in the greenery. They loved the day – even the bus ride. And on the way home, we took a detour near downtown Nairobi. For many it seemed to be the first time they had ever seen the skyline, even though they live about 2 miles from it. Thanks to Jim Boswell for funding this outing!
